On the Toda Lattice Equation with Self-Consistent Sources

چکیده
The Toda lattice hierarchy with self-consistent sources and their Lax representation are derived. We construct a forward Darboux transformation (FDT) with arbitrary functions of time and a generalized forward Darboux transformation (GFDT) for Toda lattice with self-consistent sources (TLSCS), which can serve as a non-auto-Bäcklund transformation between TLSCS with different degrees of sources. With the help of such DT, we can construct many type of solutions to TLSCS, such as rational solution, solitons, positons, negetons, and soliton-positons, soliton-negatons, positon-negatons etc., and study properties and interactions of these solutions. The Boyer-Finley equation, or SU (∞)-Toda equation is both a reduction of the self-dual Einstein equations and the dispersionless limit of the 2d-Toda lattice equation. This suggests that there should be a dispersive version of the self-dual Einstein equation which both contains the Toda lattice equation and whose dispersionless limit is the familiar self-dual Einstein equation. Such a system i...

متن کاملInfinite-dimensional Symmetry Algebras as a Help toward Solutions of the Self-dual Field Equations with One Killing Vector
The sDiff(2) Toda equation determines all self-dual, vacuum solutions of the Einstein field equations with one rotational Killing vector. Some history of the searches for non-trivial solutions is given, including those that begin with the limit as n → ∞ of the An Toda lattice equations. That approach is applied here to the known prolongation structure for the Toda lattice, hoping to use Bäcklun...
متن کاملA Nonlocal Kac-van Moerbeke Equation Admitting N-Soliton Solutions
Using our previous work on reflectionless analytic difference operators and a nonlocal Toda equation, we introduce analytic versions of the Volterra and Kac-van Moerbeke lattice equations. The real-valued N -soliton solutions to our nonlocal equations correspond to self-adjoint reflectionless analytic difference operators with N bound states. A suitable scaling limit gives rise to the N -solito...
متن کاملTopological - Antitopological Fusion and the Large N CP N Model
We discuss the large N limit of the supersymmetric CP N models as an illustration of Cecotti and Vafa's tt * formalism. In this limit the 'tt * equation' becomes the long wavelength limit of the 2D Toda lattice, an equation first studied in the context of self-dual gravity. We show how simple finite temperature and large N techniques determine the relevant solution, and verify analytically that...
